Writing client wins Challenge Detroit Fellowship

Challenge Detroit
May 08, 2015

Recent GW grad, Paulina Kriska will be a fellow with the Challenge Detroit program for the 2015-16 year! Challenge Detroit is a year-long leadership and professional development program that allows fellows to contribute both intellectually and through hands-on service to the Detroit community. In addition to her own accomplishments, Paulina credits her time at the GW Writing Center as integral to her winning this fellowship.

Paulina said of her time with Fitz:

"In the spring semester of my final year at GW, I came to the University Writing Center seeking help for post-grad job applications. I had the great pleasure of working with Fitz, who helped me polish my application for a fellowship in Detroit, MI. She was extremely encouraging and helpful, and she approached writing with a contagious energy. She even went above and beyond and supported me through one of the voting phases of the application process by sharing my link via Facebook! I can say with confidence that without Fitz, I wouldn't have landed a job with the fellowship this year. I am so glad she was there to help me re-word sentences, revitalize my writing, and propel me to new heights."
